The Church of Sant’Agostino

Tomb of Orso d’Elci

Continuing along the nave, we come to the right transept, where we can admire the tomb of Orso d’Elci (1668) by the Sienese sculptor Giovanni Maria Mazzuoli. In the upper part of the monument, in an oval niche, is a bust of Count Orso Pannocchieschi, lord of Elci, who was active in the Medici court. In the lower section is an inscription and the Pannocchieschi family coat of arms.
